Overthrowing Procrastination

How should you attack your wasted time?

As someone who spends most of his time working, reading and writing in a library, I often pause and take a look around to see what other people are up to.

If I am brutally honest, I find that the average student will spend very few hours in the library a day, and most of the time they are present, they are chatting with friends or taking extended breaks on their phone.

And this procrastination isn’t restricted to students or academic life. Procrastination can occur in various settings of your life: Do you keep putting off going to the gym? Do you keep hitting snooze in the morning? Do you keep putting off that task that your boss asked you to do last week?

To give you an example, I am reasonably productive in the Library and am able to concentrate for long periods of time, varying between 5–8 hours. But I suck at waking up in the mornings, and I have been putting off joining a gym for the last few weeks.

But one of the most common questions I get asked while in the library is:

That question carries an important weight. Finding the solution to procrastination will give you the power to complete tasks of higher quality in significantly shorter periods of time. This also means that you can spend less time thinking about, and putting off work, and more time focused on the things you love.
